Injured in an accident?

Direct answer. For an Advance, North Carolina inquiry, first decide whether you need to clarify an address or map reference, identify an existing document’s issuer, or ask about a County of Davie record. The sources below serve different purposes. A GIS result or the presence of a 911 form does not determine who holds a particular incident record.
Your task. Choose a mapping question, an identified record-copy question or a county-records inquiry while preserving the source of each address reference.
A three-source comparison explains GIS limits, the exact specialized 911 form label and the county records page’s separate court and DMV routes, followed by a usable location key.
A road or driveway account may contain a home address, a mailing label and a map result. This guide helps you choose the next question and keep those references distinct before requesting documents.
Choose the source that matches the question
Davie County’s GIS page describes address maintenance and mapping services and cautions that GIS data is not a land survey. Its 911 Center page has a specifically labeled residence-history form. The county records page separately routes court and DMV inquiries before explaining County of Davie records. The comparison below keeps those purposes separate.
| Your question | Relevant published reference | Limit to keep in view | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| What does an address or map reference represent? | GIS address maintenance and mapping information | The county says GIS data is not a land survey; an address point does not settle a boundary. | |
| Is the linked 911 form the one I need? | Davie County 911 DSS Residence History Request Form | Only this public label was reviewed. Its contents and suitability for another kind of record were not established. | |
| Which records route should I consider? | Comments/Questions/Records page | Court and DMV links are separate. The county policy concerns County of Davie records; named municipalities have their own routes. |
Keep home, mailing and map references distinct
The county’s address FAQ explains that a P.O. Box may still receive mail when a home address changes. It lists out-of-sequence numbering and multiple homes on a shared driveway among general reasons for address changes. Those explanations are not findings about an individual property.
If an actual address-change letter is relevant, retain its date and old and new wording. Keep the original place description beside any later map result, with who supplied each reference. Do not silently rewrite older papers to match a later label.
Identify the document before selecting a recipient
If a report already exists in your papers, use its printed issuer and reference to frame the copy question. Keep a general mapping question separate from a request for a particular existing document. The county records page’s municipal directions name Bermuda Run, Cooleemee and Mocksville; that list does not assign every document associated with an Advance address to the county.
The specialized 911 form label does not establish a general procedure for obtaining crash reports, recordings or injury narratives. Confirm the route for the item actually sought and retain any referral.
Make a short location key
Use this optional preparation list to make the remaining uncertainty clear. It is not an official request checklist.
- Original location wording and the document or person that supplied it.
- Any different home, mailing or map reference, kept under its own source and date.
- The existing document’s actual title, issuer and reference, if known.
- One unresolved question: an address clarification, the correct recipient or a particular existing copy.
