Direct answer. Write the full service and station names before asking about transport documents. The county's Acton/Agua Dulce shuttle listing links a brochure dated February 5, 2024 that names Santa Clarita Metrolink Station separately from its Acton stop. Metrolink's Vincent Grade/Acton page describes a different named station. A shared reference to Acton does not identify the vehicle, platform, operator or holder of a particular injury record.

An account of an injury during a journey around Acton may begin with an incomplete phrase such as the Acton shuttle or the Acton station. Those phrases need different follow-up questions. Los Angeles County Public Works lists the Acton/Agua Dulce shuttle, while Metrolink publishes a station page headed Vincent Grade / Acton. The county's linked brochure also names Santa Clarita Metrolink Station. Start by preserving the person's actual tickets, messages and recollection. Use these official references to distinguish places and journey stages, rather than deciding that similarly named services describe the same boarding point or the same record holder.

Copy each place name with its address or intersection

The county brochure labels its Acton stop Sierra Highway/Crown Valley Road and identifies Santa Clarita Metrolink Station at 22122 Soledad Canyon Road. Metrolink's Vincent Grade / Acton page gives 730 W. Sierra Highway. Keep those complete references instead of reducing all three to Acton station. If an existing message contains only a partial name, leave it as a partial name and explain what other clue supports the identification. An address printed on a current information page can help distinguish a place; it does not establish where a particular person boarded or where an injury happened.

Label the brochure's edition separately from the journey date

The printable brochure currently linked from the county shuttle index visibly states Effective February 5, 2024. Retain that edition date when using its stop names or service descriptions. A current link to an older edition does not independently establish the timetable used on a later journey, and its printed times should not replace a person's actual recollection. If the person saved an earlier timetable, retain that original alongside the newer material. Distinguish the document's effective date, the date someone obtained it and the date of the journey so a later enquiry can identify which version is being discussed.

Separate a named stop from an arranged pickup

The brochure distinguishes scheduled shuttle stops, curb-to-curb service and a by-request label for Agua Dulce Women's Club. These labels make the type of arrangement worth recording. Ask whether the person remembers waiting at a named stop, arranging a pickup, travelling with someone else or making a connection. Preserve an actual reservation message if one exists. The brochure's service categories do not establish that a reservation was accepted, that a particular rider qualified for a service or that the vehicle reached the requested location. Keep any unknown arrangement visible rather than choosing a category from the brochure for the person.

Keep rail tickets and shuttle communications in separate groups

Metrolink's station page identifies the Antelope Valley line for Vincent Grade / Acton. That line label belongs with any actual rail ticket, train identifier or station reference in the person's papers. Keep shuttle reservations and shuttle enquiries under their own service name. A person might discuss more than one stage of a journey, but the available documents should establish whether that actually happened. A rail ticket does not by itself identify a shuttle vehicle, and a shuttle timetable does not establish that a person entered a rail platform. Preserve a missing connection as a question rather than filling it with the nearest station name.

Describe the physical stage of the occurrence

A useful account distinguishes waiting beside a road, boarding a shuttle, riding inside a vehicle, moving through a parking area and approaching a platform. Ask the person to describe the stage they actually remember and what supports it. Keep photographs associated with their original dates and explanations, including whether they show the occurrence or a later visit. A stop name may identify a useful reference point without locating the exact surface, entrance or vehicle involved. Do not move a remembered event onto a platform or into a vehicle simply because both appear in the broader journey.

Use published contact roles without assigning custody

The brochure separates transit information, transfer information and county general information. Metrolink's station page separately labels the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works as station owner and lists a maintenance contact. Preserve those published roles when deciding what to ask. A general information contact can help clarify a service reference without necessarily holding a rider's reservation, an incident report or another operator's documents. Likewise, a station-owner label does not identify the holder of every transport record. Ask which organisation can address the specific existing document or question, using the journey details already established.

Prepare a short enquiry with explicit gaps

Arrange the material by journey stage, showing the date, remembered direction, full stop or station name and any actual booking or ticket identifier. Separate an enquiry about service information from a request concerning an existing incident or journey document. Include a concise description of what is sought rather than asking for every record connected with Acton. If a reply redirects the enquiry, retain that reply with its original wording. The finished file should show which places and services are supported, which documents are already held and which questions remain unanswered; it should not imply that a public timetable proves an individual journey.
